Free File Viewers

This page provides links to free programs that allow our customers to view downloadable file content.
Please read the instructions below after installing the Free DWG Viewer.

Free DWG Viewer Instructions

  1. Launch the Free dwg viewer after downloading and installing it. You will see a screen similar to the one below.

  2. Click on "Options" on the toolbar then select and click "Set as Default Viewer" as shown below.

  3. A new window similar to the one below will open.

  4. Click on the "plus" sign beside "CAD/Plot Format(s)" to expand the view as in the image below.

  5. Click once on each box beside ".dwf", ".dwg", and ".dxf" to place a check mark in the box.

  6. Click on the "OK" button to save the changes.
  7. Open a drawing file (click here to open a file). A drawing should open similar to below.

  8. Click "view" on the toolbar scroll down to "Background Color" and choose the option "White" to best view Republic drawings.
